We are pleased to offer some optional hands-on projects during the morning and afternoon Living History sessions this Fall. As space is limited and pre-registration for the projects is required, be sure to reserve your spot soon! (See registration information below.) Each participant must be 8 years or older, or be accompanied by an adult. There is an $10-15 fee per person to cover the cost of materials.

Leather Pouch - Full

When you are a young person, the uses for a leather pouch are endless. Participants will cut out the leather, punch holes, and then sew it together with leather lacing.

$10 per person. Offered Thursday morning (9/29) and Friday afternoon (9/30).
Musket - Full

Do you have a boy who wants to feel like a real Colonial soldier or longhunter? Now he can make his own musket to take on all his imaginary journeys!

$15 per person. Offered Thursday (9/29) morning and afternoon, Friday (9/30) morning and afternoon. (Staining of wood is not included with the project.)

Apron - Full

Come make a Colonial apron—a must for every young lady! If you would like to make a matching apron for a doll, bring her along as well.

$10 per person. Offered Thursday morning (9/29) and Friday afternoon (9/30).

Tin Punching - Full

The tin business in the colonies began in the mid-18th century. Learn how to use a hammer to punch a design with iron punches and chisels. Then put it in a frame to display it in your home.

$10 per person. Offered Thursday morning (9/29) and Friday afternoon (9/30).
